2010 May 19th Whoop Ass Wednesday

Formula Tech Dyno Centre in Bibra Lake sponsor Whoop Ass Wednesdays at the Perth Motorplex. The Formula Tech Whoop Ass Wednesdays are open to street cars and bikes and all you need to enter is a roadworthy car, suitable helmet and a civil drivers license.

ANZAC Day Ford vs. Holden Drags

Always a popular event, the Perth Motorplex's Ford vs Holden Drags have been a regular fixture on ANZAC Day for several years now. This year was no exception, with a full field of almost 200 cars entering on the day. The day caters not only to Ford and Holden bodied cars, but also to other vehicles from their respective parent companies, including Chevrolets and Pontiacs. Lincoln and other Ford subsidiaries are also able to run, but are not nearly as common at this event as their General Motors counterparts.

2010 April 23rd Fast Friday

The last Fast Friday for the Perth Motorplex's 2009/2010 season was held on April 23rd, and as often happens with the last Fast Friday of the season, the night sold out very early. Over 180 cars and bikes took to the quarter mile, with the front runners eager to pick up those last couple of points to secure their championships.

2010 Hankook Tyres Burnout King

The Hankook Tyres Burnout King event is a tradition at the Perth Motorplex, held on Good Friday, it is the last major burnout event of the Motorplex season. This years event saw approximately 60 cars take to the Hankook Tyres Snake Pit chasing the coveted Burnout King Title.

The entrants included Chris Michel, putting on an impressive show in the PUREGRUNT tow truck. But once the smoke had cleared, it was Steve Sines in KINGER taking the win over Earl Salter in FERAL and Justin Brown in WONA GO.

2010 March 28th All Bike Drags

Once a season, the Perth Motorplex run a drag racing meeting catering for motorbikes only. Anything with 2 wheels is eligible to race, from scooters to top fuel drag bikes.

2010 Nitro Funny Car Fury

The March 20th Nitro Funny Car Fury event saw three Nitro Funny Cars go head to head at the Perth Motorplex, supported by well over 200 local cars and bikes.

Damien Harris (above) debuted a new car at this event, which ran a 5.173 during the meeting, while Mark Sheehan ran the quickest Funny Car pass for the meeting with a 5.143. Meanwhile, Fergie Donaldson (below) ran not only his quickest ever pass, but also the Greene Machine teams quickest ever pass with a 5.301 second lap.
