Round 2 of the WA Sporting Car Clubs Night Masters series was held at Wanneroo Raceway on March 13th. For this meeting, all racing was on the long circuit, and the program was extended to include races for Formula Ford and Formula Vee during the day. For the majority of the daylight shots from this meeting, I had made the trek down to Kolb Corner, which is why some of the settings look very different from the shots you may be used to seeing on this site.



The Night Masters always puts on a good show, complete with brakes glowing red hot and exhaust flames lighting up the track. The same lack of lighting that makes photographing the event a challenge that I could never pass up, also makes for some very interesting results.

Round 1 of the 2010 Night Masters series, held at Wanneroo Raceway, was run on February 20th.



The Night Masters events run a little later in the day than traditional circuit racing events, with qualifying usually starting around lunch time, and several races run under lights. The program usually finishes up around 10pm.

Photos from Sundays V8 Supercar event at Wanneroo Raceway are online now. This was the first year for a long time that I haven't spent the whole weekend at the V8 round, however a clash of dates saw me at the Perth Motorplex for their Retro Fest event on the Saturday.

The 2009 SuperTruck round at Wanneroo Raceway was held over the weekend of September 19th and 20th. Support races for the SuperTrucks included the Garth Tander Trophy for Improved Production Cars and the Torque Trophy for Street Cars.


After Saturdays racing, the WASCC held a burnout competition on their brand new burnout pad inside Westrac CAT Corner.



Rex Meechin's UltraSport has been described as a 'photographers delight'. It's easy to see why.

All Fours and Rotaries Car Club ran a track day at Wanneroo on the long weekend in June. A great mix of new and old cars (and club members) turned up to have a blast around both the long and short circuits at Wanneroo.

Photos from the Wanneroo round of the 2008 SuperTruck championship are now online. This round also included the Torque Trophy for Street Cars and the Tander Trophy for Improved Production cars, widely considered the most important race meeting of the year for the street car and improved production teams.

Photos from the Auto Trader Trophy meeting at Wanneroo Raceway are online now. Classes racing on the day included HQ Holdens, Formula Fords and Formula Vees, early and late model Saloon Car racing, Street Cars and Improved Production and Historic Racers, with the days events culminating in the 'best of the best' handicapped Auto Trader Trophy, won by Matt Cherry from Kerry Wade and Troy Stones.

The WA Sporting Car Club's circuit racing calender opened with the Night Masters round on the weekend. This round gives us a rare opportunity to watch some racing under lights and for fans of glowing brake rotors this is a race meeting not to be missed.

All Fours and Rotaries Car Club ran a test'n'tune event at Collie Motorplex on the weekend. While only a handful of cars ended up taking to the track, those who made the trek to the south west were rewarded with a full day of track time for under $100. Drivers were sent out in groups of 4 for sessions of 5 laps at a time, which gave them plenty of time to get to know the track but also got them off the circuit and back into pit lane without putting too much stress on the vehicles.
