2008 Pro Auto Performance Hi Tech Titles - Round 4

Round 4 of the Motorplex's Hi Tech Titles for 2007/2008 saw a couple of interstate cars making the trip to Perth. Scotty Whieldon and Damien McKern both came all the way from Queensland to compete.

2008 Holden vs Ford Drag Racing

After a rain out earlier in the season, the 2007/2008 Holden vs Ford meeting at the Perth Motorplex was held on Anzac Day.

2008 Perth Motorplex Drag Racing Grand Finals

The Drag Racing Grand Finals at the Perth Motorplex saw Vince Belladonna tie up the Super Street title with a 2nd place finish, Shane Weighell take home the Super Sedan crown despite going out in the first round, Graeme Simms taking home the win and the series trophy in Super Comp and Rob Pilkington taking home the series title in Top Comp. Ross Townson took home both the Comp Bike winners trophy and the Kate Scott trophy.

2008 April 16th Whoop Ass Wednesday

This weeks Whoop Ass Wednesday was unfortunately both interrupted by and eventually shortened by rain. Despite the threatening weather, over 100 cars and bikes headed down to the Motorplex to take their chances.

This weeks Mystery Monday, sponsored by Formula Tech Dyno Centre, saw the HSV/HDT Owners Club of WA, the Supra Club of WA and the R31 Skyline Club of WA all hitting the strip. This was a great night to check out the off street racing at the Motorplex, with something for everyone.

2008 Auto Trader Trophy

Photos from the Auto Trader Trophy meeting at Wanneroo Raceway are online now. Classes racing on the day included HQ Holdens, Formula Fords and Formula Vees, early and late model Saloon Car racing, Street Cars and Improved Production and Historic Racers, with the days events culminating in the 'best of the best' handicapped Auto Trader Trophy, won by Matt Cherry from Kerry Wade and Troy Stones.

2008 Hankook Tyres Burnout King

This years Good Friday Hankook Tyres Burnout King saw 57 entrants vying for the title of Burnout King. Once the smoke cleared, Mick "Raggo" Rainoldi took home the champions trophy, followed closely by Nick Smith in Jobz On and the suprise package Clint Di Giovanni in third place in Ruffazz. Di Giovanni led from late in the first session until the Smith and Rainoldi took to the pad in the last couple of burnouts to score the best finish yet for a Toyota powered vehicle.
